Installation of Windows 2003 Enterprise on rx 7640

Hi Guys,

Can you kindly help me with the installation guide on how to install Windows 2003 Enterprise Server on rx7640. I have a PCI VGA card and a Smart arrray controller installed. Should i configure RAID or install as a single disk. I also have one cell board installed.

Hi,

First of all, the Media CD should be the one with this "for Integrity Server"

And you must check on the EFI Shell: acpiconfig it should be showing windows, if not, change it to windows. Boot the server with the SmartStart CD and follow the instruction there.

About the RAID or single disk, it is up to you. If this is a production server, I suggest use RAID.

Sandy

Be aware, "smartstart" CDs are for Proliant servers, similar CDs for Integreties are called "SmartSetup":

Hope this helps!
