Integrity Servers and ASR feature of Windows 2003

Hi All,
Windows 2003 has new feature ASR (Automated System Recovery) for System backup (similar as Ignite-UX).
Can I use the feature on hp Integirty Servers ?
My concern is Floppy Disk Drive.
HP Integrity servers don't have FDD,and no vender option.
I think that ASR needs FD,OS installation CDROM,and tape drive (or another local Disk).

I don't think it is supported. There are a lot of things not supported in the 64-bit versions of windows (XP and Server 2003). According to XP 64-bit documentation, system restore is not supported. Likely the same applies to 64-bit Server 2003. Look in the Microsoft TechNet website in Appendix H of the Windows XP Resource Kit documentation. It lists all the unsupported things in Windows XP 64-bit.

Re: Integrity Servers and ASR feature of Windows 2003

Hi Cameron,
Tnanks for your suggestion.
I found suggestive document in Microsoft Technet.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/proddocs/entserver/unsupported64BitFeatures.asp

ASR is not included in the document.
I hope ASR works on 64bit Environment.

Re: Integrity Servers and ASR feature of Windows 2003

Unfortunately, according to our staff,we can't use ASR solution of 64bit Win and Integrity.

On ASR Recovery mode,we need FDD,but USB FDD did not work.
(of course,Integiry did'nt have FDD as both standard equipment or option.)

I hope that HP provide another DR tool like Ignite-UX.(Ignite-Win!)

Best Regards,
