Re: MP information

lanscan and ioscan -funC are displaying lan port only. How to display MP information?
Telneting MP port via IP is not working. So we were thinking of changing MP IP address...

Re: MP information

Ok...here's my 'guess'. You have to hook a terminal up to the appropriate port on the MP. Usually this is a 9 pin terminal port. Once this is done, log into the MP, (default user-name password is Admin/Admin.)

Once at the MAin menu, type cm for Command Menu, and then lc to change the network parameters of the MP.

Hope this helps.

Re: MP information

To my knowledge, you cannot do this. Is the entry in your /etc/hosts file?

Re: MP information

Hm, you are connected to the console via a serial cable?
I would expect to get the MP by pressing CTRL b. What type of server is it?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: MP information

Hi HPquestion (* man *)
(* the question man / woman *) :-)

Here's what you want:

http://docs.hp.com/en/A5201-90017/apas01.html

Most important commands that an SA will need are these:

RS - reboot server when O/S is non-responsive

TC - Transfer of Control. This is a firmware reset. The same as RS, unless you're using nPars. Makes a difference then.

HE - Help. List of all commands related to the sub level / sub directory that you are currently in.

SYSREV - Display a list of all firmware versions. (* good one *)

PS - check your redundent power modules. This one is used a lot.

MA - Return to Main Menu.

CO - return to O/S (* console *)

CTRL-B - Enter the GSP / MP
Support Fatherhood - Stop Family Law
