MP on rx2620

I am having an issue with an MP on an rx2620.
After removing it from the server to connect the internal drives to a Smart Array 7402 controller, I can no longer get an OS session on it. I reconnected the internal drives to the on board SCSI controller, and booted and now the console will not go beyond

Launching /stand/vmunix
SIZE: Text:29331K + Data:7077K + BSS:5246K = Total:41656K

Althought there is an operating system on the system and it does boot.
Did I miss something?

Re: MP on rx2620

Hi,

if your setup was working and you removed the MP board, make sure all connections are good (watch the small flex cable).

Check the internal connections!

If you did power the server without the MP, the settings are probably changed. Check the console settings from the EFI menu.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: MP on rx2620

Based on the example in the previous post you should sekect this as the only entry for input/output and error (MP as console):

Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100)

Hope this helps!
