* 16 DIMM slots on the standard memory extender board.
* 32 DIMM slots on an optional memory extender board.

I heard that since recently it is possible to fit in 256GB of memory into a rx7640 system with 16GB memory quads. That implies 32 DIMM slots per cell board, doesn't it ?

Wim, this system is using pairs of DIMMs, not quads.
