Re: Not able to open console of the Integrity VM host
Now i am able to get the main menu.
But still i am not able to log in to host server.
I want to explain my existing setup
We have one host and one guest with in it.
Host server details:
Hostname - hostsrv
IPaddress - 172.257.0.13
Guest details:
Guestname - guest1
IPaddress - 172.250.0.13
Actually i am new to Integrity VM, the above settings has been configured by service engg from american digital inc, since we have bought the Integrity server from them.
They have given us different username and password for host and guest.
For example, for host:
Username: Administrator
Password : Administrator
For guest:
Username : root
password : hewlet
We are connecting both host and guest through ssh using putty.
My issues:
1)I am getting some following menus while log in to host:
Ex:
CO: Console
VFP: Virtual Front Panel
CM: Command Menu
SMCLP: Server Management Command Line Protocol
CL: Console Log
SL: Show Event Logs
HE: Main Help Menu
X: Exit Connection
This is the first time i am going to use and admin Integrity VM.
So i don't know much about above menus.
Question1: So how to learn the purpose of all above menus, please provide some usefull notes.
2)I am getting the console of guest OS when i enter CO from host.
Question2: how to get the console of the host.
3)Need usefull admin docs for beginers in Integrity VM.

Re: Not able to open console of the Integrity VM host
CO: Console
VFP: Virtual Front Panel
CM: Command Menu
SMCLP: Server Management Command Line Protocol
CL: Console Log
SL: Show Event Logs
HE: Main Help Menu
X: Exit Connection
is the Management Processors menu.
This is for the server hardware itself - has nothing to do with HPVM!
By typing CO you get the console of the host.
From there you can connect to the **virtual** console of the guest with
==>> hpvmconsole
Is this what you are looking for?
It's maybe a good time to RTFM.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

So how to get the console of the host.

Is this right that we are getting console of guest when entering CO?
2)If am having more than one guest then which guest will be opened after entering CO?
