P400 controller and channels for performance

Hi
rx2660 server
OpenVMS 8.3-1h1
P400 controller with 256Mb BBWC

I want to get the best performance with a raid 1 (mirror) disk configuration on a P400 controller. Do I put disk 1 on the A channel(position 1 on disk rack) and disk 2 on B channel(position 5)?

If this information is available somewhere, can someone point me to it?

Since it's SAS each disk has it's own channel. SFF-8484 (which is the connection on your P400) is 4 channel multilane, so it shouldn't make a difference.
