Re: PA-Risc vs Itanium
This can be a controversial topic.
I've done a number of comparison quotes internally here for internal customers and have the following conclusions, based partially on discussions with HP.
1) The last PA-RISC release of HP-UX is apparently 11 v3, set for release this year.
2) The same money on my quotes gets you more raw power with Itanium.
3) The last PA-RISC chips, unless HP changes its mind are hitting the market now.
4) I have personally found PA-RISC to be somewhat more reliable, but we use machines for 10 years heere and I'm recommending Itaniums internally. Still PA-RISCS are being ordered and installed.

Re: PA-Risc vs Itanium
I searched enough in www.hp.com site, as you mentioned. But, i could not find any good documents, which actually compares PA-RISC & Itanium.
Thanks,
Saravanan

Re: PA-Risc vs Itanium
I deserved nothing for either of my posts, good thing they were accidently on my alter ego's ID.
I knew there would be a problem with using that ID to manage the issues threads.
