Hi,

look at this document:

or see
man mptconfig
man mptutil

Hope this helps!

Re: PCI-X Ultra320 SCSI adapter on rx2620

The "A7173A PCI-X Ultra320 SCSI adapter" is not a RAID array controller, just a SCSI interface card. It does not have hardware RAID1 functionality.

On HP-UX, the RAID1 mirroring for the system disk is typically done at the software level, using the MirrorDisk optional OS component (not free). The mirroring is done after the OS is installed.

I've understood that it *is* possible to install a hardware RAID card on rx2620, but I have no experience of that.

Re: PCI-X Ultra320 SCSI adapter on rx2620

Hi there.
If you need a RAID interface, try the 6402 smart array interface. We use this on a RX4640 system with HP-UX 11.23 for Itanium.

Re: PCI-X Ultra320 SCSI adapter on rx2620

If you don't have a hardware RAID card (smartarray), you need to use a volume manager (e.g. LVM) to mirror your disks.

Hope this helps!
