Partitions

Will it be possible to run Windows in one partition and HPUX in another at the same time with the Itanium chip?

supposedly, but don't bet the bank on it, plus it sure would be one expensive M$ partition! It's cheaper to get an intel server for M$.

Probably, assuming you could get the necessary hardware drivers, but why would you want to do such a thing?
If it's Microsoft you want, the Intel servers are so much cheaper.

Yes. The (not yet released) Itanium2 versions of systems that support nPartitions (i.e., cell based systems such as the rp7410, rp8400, and Superdome) will be able to run HP-UX, Linux, and Windows at the same time in different hard partitions.
