RAS features betwee SD and rx8640q
Are anyone aware of any RAS features differenecs between an Integrity Superdome and a rx8640 server? Are there any things in terms of RAS that the SD have which the rx8640 don't? Are the backplanes the same? Thx in advance

The backplanes are not same. SuperDome is like "BigBrother" to rx8640.
To know the RAS features differences, I would suggest to refer the documents at

Why is the backplanes not the same? The Superdome's backplane maybe larger with more crossbar compares to the two crossbar that the rx8640 has, but they are the same. What are the differences?? Thx

Re: RAS features betwee SD and rx8640q
Something seems to be wrong with the link, I get "not found", try this:
http://www.itaniumsolutionsalliance.org/news/whitepapers_brochures/RAS_Features_of_sx2000_based_Platforms_July_2003.pdf
Regarding the backplane, this is really not the same, but it is used for the same purpose - as a backplane.
IMHO, there is no sense in comparing single components to each other.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
