different parts of the firmware are located on different boards inside the system, if you replace a board now (e.g. the PCI or MP board) without checking/updating firmware, you may get such a mismatch.
This may result even in an unbootable system.
As said, get the firmware from web (EFI or ISO file), follow the instructions and update.
