RX 5670

Hi , We have a rx 5670 server which has four hard disk slots. I was unable to find a few info about this server on the internet. Could anyone help me in letting me know what is the maximum hard disk capacity a single slot can withhold.

hi,

you can also check the HP Part surfer site if you have more information on specific part numbers.

Re: RX 5670

The holy grail of system documentation is http://docs.hp.com

If you are looking for certified parts for your server:

http://partsurfer.hp.com

The maximum disk capacity depends on the size of the disks available.

This is increasing all the time. The biggest affordable SCSI drives for your system are around 300 GB. For really big bucks you may be able to get 500 GB drives. As time passes your disk capacity will increase as HP releases newer, bigger drives.

You can only use hp approved parts from HP(suppliers) for this system.

Lots of short replies to this thread.

Re: RX 5670

It depends on OS how big a drive is officially supported. Currently, the 146G, 15K drives are the biggest supported under SuSE and RedHat for any of the IA64 boxes HP puts out. Personally, howver, I've had no problem using the 300Gig.
