This machine has been working, almost constantly, for about 7 years. It suddenly stopped booting. We didn't make any changes to the machine. We did move it, in a rack with other machines that still work. It booted at least once after the move.
The system light flashes red 2/sec.
After pressing the power button:
* The power led is solid green
* A green light flashes briefly to indicate that the HD is being accessed.
* The CD tray is unresponsive.
* The blue UID light will illuminate
We opened the machine and looked around on the system board (without disturbing anything), but didn't see any board lights to indicate the source of the problem.
The event logs don't complain about the power supply. They just stop with "FRB2/Hang in POST failure".
Is there some way to tell what piece of hardware is the cause of the trouble?
Here are the complete event logs for pressing the power button to power off, waiting a second or two, then pressing it again to restart.
Thanks for any info.

Re: RX2600 FRB2/Hang in POST failure
That helped a lot!
We removed CPU1 and the system wouldn't boot. Then we replaced CPU0 with CPU1 and it boots fine. Obviously the CPU or its power pod was bad. We will upgrade the firmware.
One last question: Does it matter whether the now-empty CPU location stays in the locked or unlocked position? If so, which is best?
Thanks!

Re: RX2600 FRB2/Hang in POST failure
cover the cpu slot with a cpu filler (plastic cover which normally comes along with a new server when u have ordered one cpu and the other slots are empty)
