RX2600 Has no Display

Dear Torsten,

I have HP Server rx2600 when i push the start button it starts with red light then it converts in to orange after 3 to 4 minutes it again converts in to red light. And has no DISPLAY at all.

A time ago i had called a HP vendor he updates its BIO's i THINK problem starts from there.
Do you have any idea?

Hi Imtiaz Salaam

You have to cal HP Hardware Support for this
but you can check rx2600 is coming with two VGA Adapters also (One Onboard and one add on ).Check with other one.

The reason for this may be logged in the MP logs. Have a look, post them here or call HP support.

Dear Torsten,
Problem is there is no display at all.

I have pressed the button of MP which is located behind the server but no moment at all.

Is there any jumper sitting's or any thing i can do to reset to get display i think HP person updates its Bios after that display went off. :(

Is there any way to get logs files.

There is only on VGA which is behind the server.

Que: Is there any way to get logs files.

If you know the IP Address of MP telnet to IP
from PC or connect Serial Port of laptop to MP and than check.

Thank you so much for you reply, actually red light is blinking continously and secondly i have connected to the console cable but it is not connecting means lan connection is not working.

I mean to say Connect to Mp ( Serial Port )
with Laptop and than check did you get MP Prompt

You should see all the output until the OS is starting to boot on all console connections (the "normal" serial port, the MP console port, VGA).

Once the system is booting, output will *only* go to the default console.

Did you try to connect a VGA monitor already?
