RX2600

Is there a way to run x86 emulation on the HP rx2600??? (So i can install ESX or Xenserver)

Thanx...but it is the other way ..... i have an Itanium System RX2600 and i need to install x86 software (esx or XenServer) on the RX2600, is there a way to do thes???? :-)

Hi,

You should be able to use Linux RedHat 5 with Xen to run a Windows guest on the RX2600.

In below link you can check if your I/O cards are supported for linux.

Whilst you can run the native IA64 versions of RH and Xen Server on rx2600, you cannot run the x86 versions. You *cannot* run ESX server on rx2600 at all. VMware is x86 only - it doesn't work on IA64 or Power or SPARC.
