RX2620 freeze or reboot or power down

Hi

I have a HP RX2620 with HP-UX 11.23, sundely the server goes freeze or reboot or power down, the number 2 and system leds are in red. When the system begins unexpectly appears the message:

7 7 0x000066 0x0000000000000018 Trap Taken, number in ext PE
2 0 0x000005 0x0000000000000002 bmc port failure
7 7 0x00003C 0x0000000000005400 Trap Taken, number in ext PE

Reading the troubleshooting, it said that is a problem with the firmware but no more.

System Firmware 4.10 [4631]
BCM Version 4.01
MP Version E.03.28

Have a look at /etc/shutdownlog when the system restarts and see if it provides any details. You should also have a look at: /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log ; /var/tombstones/ts99 ; /var/adm/crash (see if a crash dump is available -- this can be analyzed by HP).

I would also open a call with HP as they should be able to point you in the correct direction.

seems to be trouble with the GSP/ilo port.

I'd try to update the firmware but be ready for a hardware call to fix this. You'll need a new system board if that card has to be replaced.

Sounds like a problem with the system board - bmc port failure. Contact HP support and let them analyze the logs.

SEP, I think you have the reason because I tried to access via GSP/ilo without successfull, no access to MP, I tried to change my serial cable.. because I think , my cable has been damage.

I can not to access MP console, no ping LAN Management Port, and the server constantly goes freeze and reboot. I think the problem is exactly that you suggested me, the system board.

As suggested earlier it seems problem is in board so log a HW case with HP support team.

Hi,

Have you tried physically reset the MP/GSP ?

If you will not get the MP the probably problem with your MP hardware.
