Re: RX4640 System Board Replacement

Hi,
You will need to contact HP in order for them to provide the "answer" to the lockword.
There are specific encrypted tools that only HP have to answer the lockword.
You will then enter the "answer" to the lockword and then be able to change the Product Name.

Re: RX4640 System Board Replacement

Here is what I am getting on the boot up after the IO board was replaced.

WARNING AND STOP BOOT INFORMATION

Error[55] : Invalid or inaccessible system ID(s)
Warning[56]: Failure reading CPU SMBUS information rom
Press any key to continue
I am thinking that is what I need to do is change the Serial number in the IO Board

Re: RX4640 System Board Replacement

The procedure is here

http://docs.hp.com/en/rp4440-rx4640_upgrade/rp4440-rx4640_upgrade.pdf

page 34

Are you in "service" mode?

The procedure works only with factory new parts.

What gives

Shell> sysset

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Secondary Product Number is Identical
Serial number: XXXXXXXX (for your security, I have removed the serial number from your post above - that's information you probably don't want to make publicly available.-- Forum Moderator)
Secondary Serial Number is Valid - Different
UUID: XXXXXXX (Valid)
Secondary UUID is Valid - Different

Re: RX4640 System Board Replacement

It appears to me you installed the IO baseboard (you call it as the system board) that was used for another server before. There is no way you can resolve your problem other than you request an HP CE onsite. HP will not provide you the password for your sysset command operation.

Re: RX4640 System Board Replacement

I agree to Mits.
The board is not factory new and has a serial number already set. There is nothing you can do. Call your HP service.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: RX4640 System Board Replacement

No, this is nvram - does not depend on power.

Hope this helps!
