RX8640 RAID
Dear ITRC members.
Does anybody know how to RAID hard disks on RX8640 using HP Smart Array Controler?

You neglect to mention the Smart Array card model, but the following link will list most of them and their users guides.
However, this document is probably the best one to reference:

You also neglect to mention if you have HP-UX (assuming HP-UX, even) already running and you wish to add a RAID set to your existing environment or if you do not have HP-UX installed and you wish to create a RAID set to boot from. Something to note is that most of these SA controllers do support HP-UX boot, but most of them cannot use your internal disks. Not sure if that affects your plans on or. Below is a link for the Support Matrix telling you what you can and cannot do with the SA controllers:
