Recommended upgrade path from HP Integrity RX6600 server

Hi,

A customer wants to replace their existing RX6600 servers with new ones that are just slightly higher. They would then keep the old ones for the DR site.

What is a recommended upgrade path from HP Integrity RX6600 server?

Please advice.

New systems?

There is the rx2800 i4 and the blades BL8x0c i4.

Maybe later this year there could be the rx2800 i6 and the BL8x0c i6 servers.

If you need a big box, have a look at the SuperDome2.

Hope this helps!

The rx2800 i4 is the logical choice assuming you are not using a lot of I/O cards in your rx6600.
Moving to a blade makes no sense if you have just one rx6600.
Also, using the rx6600 as a DR machine will be a bit tricky with the very different rx2800 or blades in production.
