SCSI ID configuration for A5838A on HPUX Itanium rx4640
I need to change the default (7) SCSI ID to 6 for the SCSI card A5838A. This since the disk connected is a shared disk for a HA cluster.
The server is HPUX Itanium rx4640.
I tried using the EFI as recommended in the Manual. But on using the "drvcfg" command, the Driver and Controller of this card is not listed.
Am I missing something? Do I need to install a specific driver or configuration something else?
Thanks & Regards
Manminder

command.
For RX, not tried yet.

Re: SCSI ID configuration for A5838A on HPUX Itanium rx4640
I am helpless. Check the following.
1) If you boot normally (without connecting to other host) is this SCSI card is working?
2) If you two systems try to change the other systems SCSI ID.
3) Make sure the card is seated properly!
4) Try to change the slot.
The above may be silly, but give try.

Re: SCSI ID configuration for A5838A on HPUX Itanium rx4640
If you don't see your card with EFI drvcfg command perhaps you have to load first the EFI drivers !
I'm not a HP-UX specialist and I don't use this card on Integrity ! But as Windows specialist when I use a certified Windows card (like Emulex)and I want to configure it in EFI, I have to load the EFI driver first to see it in drvcfg command.
I hope it help,
Laurent.
