SCSI card needed to connect STK 7000 to RX7620

Running HP Data Protector v6.0 on HP PA_RISK server (HP-UX) that has a STK 7000 tape library attached via SCSI C87x Fast Wide Differential that controls the robotic arm. I'm migrating to a new HP Server RX7620 and need to now what type of scsi card I will need in order to connect the STK 7000 tape library and RX7620 server.

Thanks in advance,

Mario.

Re: SCSI card needed to connect STK 7000 to RX7620

You have a problem now.

Fast Wide Differential HBAs are not supported with hp-ux 11.23 or 11.31, but you cannot run 11.11 on your RX7620.

You need to check if you can configure another SCSI mode on your library.

Hope this helps!

Re: SCSI card needed to connect STK 7000 to RX7620

Hi,
RX7620 will be running HP-UX 11.23. Right now the Scsi connection on the L700 is set to HVD going to a Fast Wide Diff scsi card on the PA_RISC server. Would I be able to use an LVD card on the RX7620?
Thanks,
Mario.
