Solution
You seem to be confused about what constitutes a cell (actually cell blade in a SD2)
SD2-16 = 16 socket system
SD2-32 = 32 socket system
The 16 and 32 values relate to sockets not cell blades. Each cell blade in a SD2 has 2 sockets. The SD2-16 has 8 cell blades and the SD2-32 has (or will have) 16 cell blades. Each CPU socket takes a quad-core CPU, for a total of 64 cores in a SD2-16 and 128 cores in a SD2-32.

Re: SD2-32 info
Please see the chart from the below link. It is mentioned max 16 processor per partition is possible for SD32. Could you please clarify this.

Processors/Core
per system 16/64 16/64 32/128

per partition 8/32 16/64 16/64

Re: SD2-32 info
That is the value for the "SD2-32 Starter Package" - this is a configuration of 2 x SD2-16 systems which can later (when we release the appropriate firmware some time in Q3) be field upgraded to a full SD2-32. So as the starter package is just 2 x SD2-16 systems the limit on partition size is stil 64 cores.
Does that make sense?
