HI,
I have a BL60p Server which had a problem with basse assembly and has been replaced and the server is working fine.
Except for the hard disk, RAM Module and Processor, the entire server has been changed.
The server is up and running fine but the machinfo output doesn't show up the serial no of the server.
here is the output:

On the front plane of the server, i noticed a serial number which was different from the previous one.
Now, my question is how to assign this new serial number to the server.

If you have contract with HP, call them. You will have to do ssconfig to change the Serial Number. Your server's system board may have been changed and the serial number is not updated yet.

Anyway, you need to contact HP support and ask them to adjust the settings - you cannot do this on your own.
