Solution'hpux -is /stand/vmunix' you type
'boot vmunix -is' to get to single user mode.
Screen log below...

Hi All,
after you switched diff drives like fs0: or fs2: .. you have to give it full path to boot in single user mode. Below is step by step with typos to test commands ... or maybe fat fingers! ..
