System Power

Hello ,
My one of my rx4640 server has flashing power supply light at the back of the server.

Frop MP console - i did rs and ps -on , here is the output .could you please some one let me know if you have come across this.

Hi Navin

There is no error in the output

You must send us your system event logs
connect to mp
SL
SEL
A
(select warning for alarm level)
T
D and select Y

MP will dump to screen entire system event log.

Did you monitored your system after pc -on

Hi,

Yes that is the normal behaviour. The LED should be flashing green light. You may always monitor the power state from the network console by giving the command "PS" and in the event you want to power cycle it you may user PS displays the power status and RS to reset system through RST signal.

Yes i did rs and pc -on but still no power .
the power led's at the back of the server is flashing ...i feel that is not normal as my other same type of system has stable led for powers at the back

Your system powers on and I guess some moments later it goes off.

Here is the problem:

Missing FRU device - Power Pod 1

I'm sure it is not really missing, but dead.

Open a call and let the support folks fix your system.

The power pod is directly mounted on the CPU module. You can check if the small cable is connected to the processor carrier.
If this is OK the module is probably dead and you need a new CPU module.
