Turning off CPU cores for rx2800
Anyone know if I can turn off 2 CPU cores in a quad-core rx2880 server? If yes, please let me know how to do this. I am trying to reduce my Oracle licenses to only two cores. Thx in advance.

Re: Turning off CPU cores for rx2800
I do not know anything about Oracle. Is it not enough to stop some processor cores after OS boot and before Oracle is started? And can Oracle not get confused by the supplemental cores presented by the Hyperthreading co-threads (which are enabled by default on rx28000 i2)?
In any case, the options are limited AFAIK. The UEFI shell command CPUCONFIG can only be used to activate and deactivate complete processor sockets, not individual cores.

Re: Turning off CPU cores for rx2800
Maybe vPars v6.1 could be a solution for you?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
