URGENT: How to disable processors in EFI on RX3600?

I need to disable two of the processors in an RX3600 running HPUX 11.23. I am in the middle of testing and this is part of the test.

How do I do this? I cannot find a way.

Thanks,

Craig

Craig,

Shell> help configuration
Configuration commands:

cpuconfig -- Deconfigure or reconfigure cpus

Shell> cpuconfig [cpu] [on|off]

Keep in mind that the rx3600 uses dual-core processors and cpuconfig operates on an entire processor - ie it disables two cores at a time.

Also, don't forget that you have to issue a "reset" for the settings to take effect.

If you need/want to be able to do something similar without having to reboot, you may be able to define some processor sets and mpsched/mpctl to restrict what you run to a given set of CPUs and then use intctl to make sure that none of the CPUs you want to be virtually "deconfigured" are taking interrupts from I/O cards.
