Unable to boot from DVDROM of RX2600 Servers with HPUX 11.23 Media

Configuration: RX2600 Server

Problem:
1.When we try install the HPUX 11.23 OS thro Foundatation media, After installation Script startup It is not proceeding further.

2.Firmware details follow,
MPF/w: E.02.23 then we have updated to MP F/W:E.02.26

BMC F/W: 01.50
EFI F/W: 01.22
System F/W: 02:21

3. We have changed the DVDrom Drive no use. Now system doesn't have any OS.

Suspecting the System board since DVD i/f coming from the system board.

Any other suggestion and suspects from any one.

Check the machine menus for the console configuration. I'd bet the console is being directed to a device /port you are not using. The install is proceeding but is not visible to you.

If the console setting not directed to RS232 (MP)then how I am getting the Display Main menu extra, Do you still Think that it is could be console path setting problem.

I saw a similar problem when I first started using one of my rx2600s. I could see the EFI / firmware menus OK. But as soon as the machine booted to HPUX media, the console ceased to update.

Once the kernel started loading, an alternate console path was routed for the output.

I think the issue with this particular model is that it has a graphics card built in. I suspect that the console is getting routed there at boot time.

Two things to try:
1. Attach a color monitor to the graphics port, see if the console continues there after boot.
2. Go into the EFI configuration menus and make sure only the serial console port you are using is activiated.

Thanks for both Scot and Bernhard for quick & valuable response.

In EFI, MP/Serial/VGA all the path was selected as console output device.
I have plug the VGA monitor I could see display But no progress after intall scirpt startup.It stuck there itself.I tried in another RX2600, same results.

I tried with different options given in the EFI for console path, no improvements.

No errors where reported in SEL(log) and ODE tests.

we were suspecting the OS media,today we are getting another media,I will update the progess.

If you are using a console device it may be plugged into the wrong console port. Either way you should plug a console into "SerialA/Console" in order to get the install screen.
