Re: Unable to select FS0: to boot off the CD
The drive itself is detected, so it could be a problem with the media.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Unable to select FS0: to boot off the CD
I am not even getting to the point where I boot off the CD. It's not mapped. How do you map it?

Re: Unable to select FS0: to boot off the CD
if there is a valid media in the drive, do "reconnect -r" and "map -r".
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Unable to select FS0: to boot off the CD
When I try to map it, I get this:
Shell> bcfg boot add 0B "file.efi" "DVD"
bcfg: File file.efi - No mapping

Re: Unable to select FS0: to boot off the CD
Okay, I am getting somewhere. I put in the CD to another drive and got this. Looks encouraging. Now what command do I issue to boot off the CD?

SolutionThe output of the CDROM image doesnt look complete. Here is an example of what you should see:
fs2:\> ls Directory of: fs2:\ 06/17/11 02:26a <DIR> 1,024 EFI 06/17/11 02:26a 698,868 INSTALL.EFI 06/17/11 02:26a 16 AUTO 06/17/11 02:26a 243 STARTUP.NSH 3 File(s) 699,127 bytes 1 Dir(s) fs2:\> ls efi Directory of: fs2:\efi 06/17/11 02:26a <DIR> 1,024 . 06/17/11 02:26a <DIR> 0 .. 06/17/11 02:26a <DIR> 1,024 BOOT 06/17/11 02:26a <DIR> 1,024 Intel_Firmware 06/17/11 02:26a <DIR> 1,024 HP 0 File(s) 0 bytes 5 Dir(s)
Your installation disc doesnt appear to be correct or its corrupt.
To answer your question: from the fsX: location of the CD/DVD, you can run the command "install" to start the installation of HP-UX.
