Using ignite to load OS on a BL870
We are trying to install HPUX 11iv2 on a brand new BL870 that has no OS on it using an ignite server (Itanium) running HPUX 11iv2. We have tftp & bootps configured as identified in the Ignite UX documentation. The error we are getting is:
Retrieving File Size.
Retrieving File (TFTP).
@(#) HP-UX IA64 Network Bootstrap Program Revision 1.0 Downloading HPUX bootloader TFTP failed due to - 0x8000000000000012 Press Any Key To Continue ...
I have checked all the relevant threads but couldn't find a solution. Any help is appreciated, as we have a very strict deadline to set up this server.
We have tested the ignite server by trying to load the image on another Superdome partition & it just works fine. But just not for the blade.

Re: Using ignite to load OS on a BL870
If you're using an OE release prior to December of 07, you'll have to do some patch updates, one of which is for IgniteUX to version C.7.4.157. Also has updates for IO
Here's the BL870c errata for details:

Re: Using ignite to load OS on a BL870
Thank you Robert. I will try & see if this works. In the meantime, we have found a workaround by creating a vlan amongst the blades in the same enclosure. Seems like the blades cannot see the servers outside the enclosure although they are on the same subnet
