Video in rx1600
We have several integrity servers, rx2600 and rx1600, we want use graphical console, but in rx1600 not have graphical interface.
I tried to install the graphical interface (also have RS-232, LAN) from rx2600 in rx1600, and works, but when it boot, the server craash.
I will try to reinstall the server with the interface install. I think it must work...
Anything was in this situation?
There is another solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance
Jorge

Re: Video in rx1600
you should buy the optional management processor card for rx1600 (product number A9803A). The card provides out of band management, remote web-based management and basic 2D graphics.

Zygmunt

Re: Video in rx1600
If you want to use Graphical console you need to set console output into EFI.
Use your PCI AGP for console output.
After taht save and restart.
RX2600 is server aware.
You don't have AGP port.
Any way you can use internal VGA to see graphics console. Also as I sed you need go to EFI nad set VGA as your console output.
EFI contain all driver that you need for graphical console. EFI partition can and must be update with last posible driver.
There was a problem with Video on EFI and Windows. Use lastest drivers.
Go to HP.com
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=406201&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=447332&submit.y=6&submit.x=7тМй=en&cc=us
And update all that you need.

Re: Video in rx1600
The situation is this: I plugged the a9803 Management card into rx1600, I configure in EFI like Output device, the rx run and I can see the console messages until /stand/vmunix, then, the system have a crash.
If I configure serial console like Output device, the rx run perfectly.
When I do a ioscan, I see this device:
/dev/diag/mux2 /dev/tty2p0 /dev/tty2p4
unknown -1 0/4/2/0 UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN PCI Display (1
0025159)
What is the correct driver for this card?
I think this is the problem
Thanks, Jorge
