What is Full_memory in EFI parameter?

Hello, Everyone.

I wonder what Full_memory parameter in boot test meaning. I read the manual of setboot(1M). That says,
"when on, enables full destructive memory test."
But what is destructive memory test? The manual has no mean.

If anyone know any information of Full_memory parametter, would you like to tell me the meaning?

Hi:

Destructive memory testing means that the contents of physical memory are overwritten by the test.

Non-destructive memory testing means that a part of memory is tested while some other portion is left intact (because it is inuse). By shuffling inuse and non inuse sections about, all of memory can be tested.

Full memory testing during Power On Self Test (POST). This will test all of the memory as opposed to a partial test of enough memory to get the box up to facilitate the boot process.
