after vparenv -m vPar cannot boot the /stand/vmunix

Hi everybody,

After I apply the next command:

#vparenv -m vPars

I can not boot neither the vPars because of a bad configuration and I can not boot the /stand/vmunix as I usual.

Does anybody knows a solution for this or should I reinstall my system :S??

Re: after vparenv -m vPar cannot boot the /stand/vmunix

Hi,

if you are not able to run HP-UX, you can change the mode either from
/stand/vpmon

MON> reboot nPars

or

from EFI

fs0:\> vparconfig reboot nPars

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: after vparenv -m vPar cannot boot the /stand/vmunix

Assuming Vpar s/w is installed properly,
Go to the EFI shell and select the disk partition and run "vparconfig" as

Shell:> fs0:
fs0:> vparconfig reboot nPars

This will set the mode as nPar and reboot the system. Then you can get to normal boot using /stand/vmunix.

If you can't able to run "vparconfig", then
run "parconfig" from EFI shell as
Shell:> parconfig nPars
Shell:> parconfig reset

Once you are in nPar mode,re-configure the Vpar referring document at
