can HBA with 4Gb support san switach with 2GB

Hi Team,
We have a rx6600 server with HPUx 11iV3. the specification is given below.

HBA model is AD194-6001 and is 4GB fibere channel
San Switch is
Brocade Silk Worm 3900 2GB

Storage is
SUN Storedge 9900

Can i connect rx6600 server with san switch and storage.

The HBA will do autoneg and connect with 2Gb.

hi,

the HBA will automatically communicate with 2G.

We have lot servers with 4GB HBA but the switch are 2G, without any problem.

Hi,

We have the same situation, and our servers works fine with the 2GB san switches, even though we are connecting 2GB switch to 4GB switch for expanding the domain, and it works very well as this feature are in the san switch too.
