can not create more than 2 IR volume from EFI

Hello,

In our RX2660 server has 6 SAS Hard drive. We want to create 3 IR Volume ( RAID 1) using this 6 drive. But after create 2 IR volume it is not shown any option for create any new IR volume. instead of this it only shows modify the existing IR volume for add additional disk for Hot swap .

Now my question is it a problem ? or This RAID controller does not support more than 2 IR volume?

Waiting for valuable reply?

Re: can not create more than 2 IR volume from EFI

Hi Paul,
quote from quickspec:

"HP UX, OpenVMS, and Linux support the integrated HP 8 Internal Serial Attached SCSI host bus adapter (AD248A#106), which supports a maximum of two RAID 1 volumes (2├Г 2 HDDs) and a disk for global hotspare, for a maximum of five disks in RAIDed arrays. "

Probably this is your Problem.
