configure MSA30-MI with 2 RX3600 (HPUX)

Hi,
MSA 30-MI connected to 2 RX3600,having 1 dual port SCSI card. MSA30 populated with 4 disks in each Bay. we are able to see 8 disks in each server when the other server is off.
While both the servers are on one server is showing 4 disks "claimed" and 4 disks in "NO_HW" and the other srevr is showing only 4 disks "claimed".
What could be the problem?

The problem is most likely that both SCSI HBAs on each bus have the same SCSI ID 7 - this is a conflict.

You need to set one HBA on each bus to SCSI ID 6.

Example:

# mptconfig -i 6 /dev/mpt10

Confirm: Do you want to change scsi parameters (y/[n]): y

Scan For Devices to avoid id conflict ... [Passed]
Status .................................. [Successful]





If you need help, post the full "ioscan -fn" from both servers.

We have tried with changing the SCSI ID to 6 in one server in EFI shell. Still no luck.

The command above was a hp-ux command.

Did you check (with ioscan for example) if the HBAs are on ID 6 now?
