cooling unit failure

Every now and then cooling unit failure message appears in the log. At the same time the server reports power supply failure. After 1 to 5 minutes server "repaires" itself and reports that cooling unit and power supply are OK.
I replaced both power supplies and Power Supply Interface Module.

You could try flashing the system rompaq.

Model is RX 2620. I have three such servers. Other two work just fine, and firmware version on all three is 03.17A.

I guess the reported cooling unit is 1 which is meant for power supply and CPU Fans.

Check the CPU fans. If one of them is not working normal, then the change it.

By the way, what do you see in the log?

which OS is used on this system and in which log do you see this error (OS logfile or the hardware log ?

Do you have management agents running on this system ? is so what version.

The feature in RX2600 server is that if there is a fan failure it would also disable a powersupply unit aswell...

Here in your case i guess the fan is failing intermitently it would be better if you check and replace the failed fan at the earliest. The MP logs would confirm which fan is failed.
