Dear Fouzia

Moving between EFI and MP: To move from MP interface to EFI, type co(for Console) at the MP> prompt. If you are in command mode (at the MP:CM> prompt), first press Ctrl/B to return to the MP> prompt.

When you move to EFI from MP, confirm that you are at the main EFI main menu. If you are at a submenu, to access the main menu exit from the submenu and any subsequent submenus until you return to the main menu.

To move from the EFI to MP, press Ctrl/B

The server is RX2660.
I will try the step given by Suraj and let em the result.
Torsten I can't boot the server as it is prod server.

From MP when I tryp CO the screen is blank (Happened only at hpux 11.31-does this unix version not support dumb terminal?
As I said if do the same in hpux 11.23 after type CO in MP command I will get console login:

I have go trhough the config dumb terminal and all value are correct but still after issue CO at MP command the screen did not prompt Console Login:

It appear msg as
Prior Console Output
device in use by HP-UX as the console output device. If you would like this device to be the one used by HP-UX as the console output device, reboot and use the EFI boot manager to select this device and reconfigure the others .0:77:40m

Launching /stand/vmunix

If the console is really set to VGA, what you see now is totally normal behaviour.

HP-UX can have only 1 console - either serial or VGA. Thats why I asked you to check this.

But you can also try to use "ps" to find if some application is just using the console device.

You can also check the console log from MP for the last actions done on this device - maybe you find it switched to VGA. Or just connect a VGA monitor and see if there is some output.

You are talking about console log. Ok anyway I did not find any info regarding console and serial device.
