gigabit fibre adapter under ia64 RHEL AS 3.0

Hi,

can anyone tell me the supported/preferred driver for an A7073A (1000base-sx gigabit fibre ethernet controller) on Red Hat AS 3.0 on an RX4640 Itanium machine?

Cheers

Robert,

thanks for your help, I've checked out the link but there are no specific details regarding the A7073A as far as I can see...

I have tried the bcm5700 (latest Broadcom) which show no link whatever the link status is. tg3 seems to work but does not have the flexibility of configuration of the bcm5700.

1000Base-SX Gigabit Ethernet adapter card for Linux and Windows A7073A

Driver should be on the Red Hat Linux Installation CD.

Hope this helps,

Re: gigabit fibre adapter under ia64 RHEL AS 3.0

Thanks Robert,

I was looking for the specific module that was supported. For reference, HP state the tg3 as the supported driver rather than the bcm5700. Apparently Red Hat will be working with that driver from now on. This does mean that trunking needs to be done with the native bonding driver rather than Broadcom's BASP utility.

Solution found - tg3 driver should be used (from both HP and Red Hat)
