loading linux in rx2600 when HP UX is already there
I'm new to HP UX .
I have a rx2600 machine which has HP UX already installed and i want to install linux on the same machine .
But the trouble is that there is no cd/dvdrom .
so i have to use an image of the cd present in the network .
I think I can use EFI tool for this but couldnt figure out how !! can someone help

You may also use PXE to boot the rx2600.

thanks for the fast reply .
Purchasing a dvd drive is yes a solution for sure . I shall get it in a weeks time but i just curious to know if there was an alternative to boot from the network .

but i was not able to use the dbprofile command.
(dbprofile command is used to create a profile , which gives the details of where to boot the machine from )

(Like already mentioned) your server is able to boot from PXE, how about this?
