Re: partionning integrity server (win2003 , Linux , SUSE , HPUX)

You cannot partition this small server like you can do with cell-based integrity servers.

But you can install several systems each on its own HDD and start one at at a time

or

you can use HP Integrity virtual machines and run several systems as guests.

http://docs.hp.com/en/vse.html#HP%20Integrity%20Virtual%20Machines

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: partionning integrity server (win2003 , Linux , SUSE , HPUX)

hp-ux is running as host software - guests can be hp-ux, windows or linux (even at the same time, of course).

Refer to the release notes on the link above.

Hope this helps!

Re: partionning integrity server (win2003 , Linux , SUSE , HPUX)

hello mulder let me rephrase torsten's answer if he may allow me.

I think you are asking if you can do a multiple boot on the server and yes you can. All you simply have to do is divide your HDD into 3 different areas EFI, OS, and Diagnostics(optional) where the OS partition can be HPUX, Windows or Linux notice that on booting HPUX or Linux and Windows on the same machine you'll have to change you acpiconfig to windows for windows and default for hpux/linux.

Hence you'll need a separate hard drive for each OS.

The Virtual Machine solution is a whole different approach where you'll need to install HPUX 11iv2 12/07 for HPVM 3.5 and then onto that you can create guest system with whatever OS u want. Note that there are several limitation on running some applications on VMs, etc.
