Re: re : smart array 6402 help

First make sure you have a current version of the RAID driver!
This can be found here:
http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=A9890A

Locate the smartarray device file with ioscan, e.g.
/dev/ciss0

Use saconfig /dev/ciss0
to view the current config.
Use saconfig without parameters for all options (or man saconfig).

Example for extending the logical drive to 1 more disk:

# saconfig /dev/ciss3 -E 1 -p 1:3
Logical drive 1 expanded from 3 to 4 physical drives

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

"One or more fields in command have invalid data"

Your command was probably wrong.

Because I don't know what command you run, I don't know what was wrong.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: re : smart array 6402 help

If you post the output of

saconfig /dev/ciss_

(where "_" is a number) to get your current config together with your command line we can try to help you.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
