The server has an Ultra 320 parallel scsi. The diagnostics shows the controller and it seems to be o.k.
I tried other disks with the same result, so it seems to be a problem between controller and disk but don't know how I can diagnose or solve the problem.
Any help or direction will be very apreciated.

Let's see if the server can see the disks.
Hope this helps!

SolutionI can't see a disk - the server too.
Are the disks internal?
you have only 1GB memory - 11.31 requires 1.5 GB minimum.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: rx-1600 shows no disk installed
About the memmory issue, I tried to install with 512 MB (the default configuration) and installation failed telling me it needs 900 MB to run. As far as I could get in the installation process, memory is not an issue.
I ran ODE tests and controller seems to be OK, the disk is firmly attached and everything seems to be OK. Can't figure what's happening.

Re: rx-1600 shows no disk installed
I tried with various disks with no success, so there's no problem with the disk. I also tried using the other slot (there are two on the front of the server) with the same result.
The wires and connections look good.
When I changed disks, the status led of the disk blinked during boot only the first time the disk is attached, after the firs time lights never blinked again.
