Re: rx 2620 shutdown by itself

Hi,

Did you replace the System board because of the errors that you posted above, or are you getting the errors as a result of changing the system bd????

Did you put the top cover back on properly?

Can you post the MP Error logs please?

Phil

Re: rx 2620 shutdown by itself

I change the system board because i was getting this

/usr/sbin/envd[1368]: terminated by signal 15. All my diagnostic lights are off including my LAN LED.

I can boot the server to unix but after a few while it shutdown by itself.

Re: rx 2620 shutdown by itself

Hi,

Your machine is giving chassis open errors.
It is therefore shutting down as it thinks the cover is off.

You will need to visually inspect the servers as per my below.
Check the switch as per my answer at the bottom of this thread.

Re: rx 2620 shutdown by itself

Hi Sakui,

As per Ur system MP event log analysis report is here:-

Keyword = SHUTDOWN_OR_RESET_ON_SENSOR

A sensor reading in the system was determined to be non-recoverable and the system was shut down or reset. Read the system logs to find which sensor was out of range.

Can U send us system syslog and then we can find out what is the actual problem Ur system.

Thanks--Yaqub

Thanks so much to Philp UK. It was a chasis sensors issue.
