rx 6600 FANs very LOUD

we have two new servers rx 6600
with HP-UX 11.23 ; fANs very LOUD
we check FANs status from console port we see FANs okay

any need for any Hp agent or firmware
to be installed to reduce FAN sound

we already have space more than 1 meter from reaer and 2 meter from front

U can rearrange Ur system power supply...like PS 0 to change PS 3.

How U can change this...

It is possible the HFC (fan control) firmware is missing. You can verify this from the MP/iLO using the "sysrev" command from the command menu. A typical listing should look something like the following:

MP FW : F.02.17
BMC FW : 05.21
EFI FW : ROM A 06.20, ROM B 05.66
System FW : ROM A 03.01, ROM B 02.03, Boot ROM A
PDH FW : 50.07
DHPC FW : 01.23
UCIO FW : 03.0b
PRS FW : 00.08 UpSeqRev: 0c, DownSeqRev: 08
HFC FW : 00.04 SetRev: 00 <=======

If the last line, HFC FW, is missing, that is likely your problem and you will need to update to the current firmware version, which is 03.01A

You can get there using the following URL

http://www.hp.com/#Support

enter "rx6600" in the product name/number field, then select "Cross operating system (BIOS, Firmware, Diagnostics, etc.)" and finally "Firmware - System"

From here you can download and install the "rx3600 and rx6600 System, BMC, and iLO2 MP Firmware"

A failed fan will cause the remaining fans to run on full speed.
Please check if the fans are all ok.

Log on to the MP and run "ps", example:

MP:CM> ps

as I mention before we have 2 new server rx 6600 with the same issue

1- we try to update the latest firmware
but the current firmwares already the latest.

2- also we check the status for all FANS it is Normal

* but the leds on the reaer FANs off on both server is it noramal
