rx1600 firmware upgrade failure
It looks like it's never been updated since it came out of the factory, which versions of firmware do i need, what kind of upgrade patch should i follow, i know there's several versions, do i need to apply them one by one?

By first updating the Management Processor (MP) firmware separately to E.02.29 you should then be able to update the entire firmware package to any of the latest rx1600 packages.
