We are buying a new processor for a rx1600. The part has the following numbers associated:
1GHz CPU (from the Operation and Maintenance Guide)
----------
REPLACEMENT Part Number: AB220-67001
EXCHANGE Part Number: AB220-69001
Since both P/Ns are the same hardware (but with a price difference of about 50%), what is the real difference between them?
Thanks a lot for your help,
SE

SolutionThe Exchange PN is meant for a new part which is obtained against the return of the defective one.
The Replacement PN is meant for a new part order. The exchange of defective or old part is not followed here.
Refer this link.

With this, the price difference could be understood.

Re: rx1600 new processor (REPLACEMENT or EXCHANGE...?)
given the age of the RX1600 product, it might still be under warranty and you should have no costs. Pls check your purchase date/invoice.
