Re: rx2600:Serial console cable configuration required.
Hi Asim,
the DB25 connector on the MP is a special connector for three serial interfaces (Console, Remote Console, UPS). These interface can be accessed via included adapter HP A6144-63001 (dongle cable DB25(Male)-3xDB9(Male)) and a standard serial cable eg HP 5182-4794 (DB9(Female)-DB9(Female)). Pin assigments of the HP 5182-4794:
GND --- GND
1 --- 1
2 --- 3
3 --- 2
4 --- 6
5 --- 5
6 --- 4
7 --- 8
8 --- 7
9 --- 9
If you don't have HP A6144-63001 adapter, you can prepare special DB25(Male)-DB9(Female) serial cable for console connection.
The pin assigment should be:
DB9 --- DB25
GND --- GND (ground)
1 --- NC (not connected)
2 --- 2
3 --- 3
4 --- NC
5 --- 7
6 --- NC
7 --- 5
8 --- 4
9 --- NC
Regards,
Zygmunt
