Now the machine refuses to boot. i guess its a proc failure, though we have logged a case with HP, just wanted to know if there is something that can be done or tried to get this machine back online.

Sad part is that HP says that they are out of stock ...

Re: rx2620

Hi,

If you have 2 processor installed, you can try to remove one of the processor and then boot up the servers. If there is only one than perhaps you could try to re-seat the processor, perhaps it's a bad contact only

Sandy

Re: rx2620

Hi Sandy,

We had an HP engineer come in and pull out the faulty CPU, now the machine is back up and running on 1 CPU .

Many thanks for your suggestions on this.
